Police do NOT belong in our schools. Full stop.

I had a police officer stationed in my high school. At one point he got a warrant to investigate me for a stolen calculator, that I didn’t steal. He kicked down my door after school one day with 8 other cops in riot gear with guns drawn on my Grandma.

  1. and I bet the kid who claimed their calculator was stolen was just afraid of telling their parents they had been careless enough to either lose it, or broken it themselves, and thus came up with the theft excuse.

(If there was an actual theft report at all..)

  2. Yet another knock-on effect of refusing to do anything about gun violence.

  4. sucks to be black in ‘murica. It’s the persistent racism, not the occupation.

  5. You don’t realise just how lucky you are until you read these stories and realise: that couldn’t have been me, because I’m a white male. The police simply wouldn’t have targeted me like that.

This is all kinds of screwed up.
