There’s also an audio-captioned version for blind folks here. This is pretty cool — a blind man “drives” a car around town.

Supposedly this prototype (along with others like it) have logged over 200,000 miles of test driving. Still it’s hard to see this becoming very widespread. I simply can’t see it handling all kinds of situations: weather conditions, road repairs, unexpected objects in the road, and so on. But still fun, and maybe the prototype down the road for converting cars into some kind of mass transportation (attach your car to a “flow” and have it remotely controlled for that period of time, until you “exit”?

In any case, pretty cool…
