The voice over isn’t really necessary, I don’t think. This is pretty amazing on a number of fronts. First of all, the method of entry from back, second that he can move his body around (eg at the grocery store). This doesn’t just help with mobility, it also gives more independence and incorporates more activity for his body in day to day functioning. And he’s at eyelevel height, a huge psychological factor. I’m sure not every single paralyzed person can use this, but it seems like it would be incredibly helpful for all those who can. Stairs are still an issue, but ramps and elevators can cover a lot of that. Of course, I’m pretty sure this is 3-5x more expensive than standard wheelchairs. I also hope they are slower and safer than segeways (which I can’t hear coming and so am fairly afraid of, actually).
But it’s all kinds of cool!
