CA DMV bully quits job

Spotted this in my local paper today: The DMV clerk who was under investigation for sending hate mail to a transgender customer vilifying her sex change has quit his job as of last Wednesday. Thomas Demartini had been on paid leave since October when the DMV verified Amber Yust’s complaint. Demartini had sent her a letter to her home address calling her SRS “a very evil decision,” even though he had received sensitivity training last year after refusing to assist another transgender customer. Yust has since filed a claim against California seeking damages.

Good riddance. And I hope she wins her lawsuit.

(Jesus, paraphrasing that article makes me realize the 6th grade level reading comprehension these things are written at nowadays 😛 Those first two sentences condense about six in the AP article.)
