canadian response to patriot act

I absolutely love this.

A federal proposal would allow government departments to immediately cancel a contract with an American firm if it hands personal information about Canadians to U.S. anti-terrorism investigators.

The planned move was sparked by concerns the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation can now see sensitive Canadian data the government supplies to American firms doing business with departments in Ottawa.

Go, Canada.
And as for us, let’s get the damned Act off the books asap…
